The under 14's got their campaign back on track against Carnmore in round 4 of the championship on Tuesday. The fixture was played in a windswept and wet Carnmore pitch, but Larkins made light of the conditions and recorded a convincing win, on a scoreline of Tommie Larkins 7:05 Carnmore 1:03. Larkins again found themselves up against a physically stronger team but they never allowed Carnmore space or time on the ball and their persistence paid off with Carnmore frequently turning over possession. Best for Larkins on the day were Gavin Dervan who registered two green flags, Jack Sheil who was dominant at full back and Ronan Murphy who delivered some quality ball to the inside forward line. Shane Connaire and Dylan Loughrey also staked a claim for a starting position with impressive displays after coming on. This result should be enough to see Larkins through to the quarter final. Next up is the final group game v Killimordaly on Monday, May 23rd in Mullagh at 6.30.
